The 2026 PATA-Days will be held in Guatemala from 30 January – 6 February, 2026. We will commemorate the 50th anniversary of the devastating 1976 Guatemala Earthquake (M7.5). Guatemala is situated on the plate boundary between the Caribbean and North American Plates and offers not only exciting paleoseismology and tectonic geomorphology, but also a rich archaeological and archaeoseismological record.
